Daily Announcements Friday, December 7, 2018



Tech Center applications are now available online at the LISD Tech Center website.  Any interested sophomore
or junior can apply.  The sooner you apply the better your chance of getting into a class.  Returning seniors to the
Tech Center must apply as well.  

Kiwanis is sponsoring a Law Enforcement Career Academy in Lansing over the summer for students in 10th, 11th 
or 12th grade grades interested in a career in Law Enforcement.  Information and applications are available 
in the guidance office.

Juniors- Krispy Kreme Donuts will be delivered next Tuesday December 11th. You will be called down by 
announcements during 7th hour to pick up your orders. Please plan accordingly if you are not here 
 in the afternoon. 

Feeling stressed or anxious or want to do something good for your body and brain? Come try easy yoga Thursdays after school in Mrs. McLemore's room. 3:30 to 4 PM. Open to all ages. $3 donation. Wear flexible clothing and you can borrow a mat from Mrs. M. 
Can you dance? sing? act? juggle? play an instrument? do acrobatics or gymnastics? paint? or smile for awhile? Come to the informational meeting Friday, December 7th in Mrs. McLemore's room to hear about this year's theatrical event.  



Last  chance for anyone interested in taking the SAT practice test with the Sylvan Learning Center  needs to see Mrs. Stark for a flyer.  Please return all forms to Mrs. Stark as soon as possible.  Test Date is Dec. 8th.  those students taking the test need to be here at 7:45 a.m. with a calculator and a pencil and meet at the teacher entrance of the high school.


Math Tutoring is available on the following days from 3-4 p.m. for any student that needs help: Tuesday in Mrs. Stark Room #130, Wednesday  in Ms. Gorsuch's room #148 and Thursday in Ms. Fredrich Room #112

The sophomore class will be traveling to the Tech Center for a tour on Wednesday, December 5, 2018.  The sophomores will eat at A lunch from 11:03 – 11:33 and then depart by bus at approximately 11:45. The group will return back to school by 2:45, in time for dismissal.  Each student is responsible for work and assignments in the classes they will be missing. Bus assignments will be listed outside the Guidance Office on Monday, December 3. On the bus, each student will receive a 3 class schedule based on the choices they previously picked.

Tickets will be sold during lunches today and will be $10 a piece or $18 for a couple. You will not be allowed to purchase tickets at the door. Guest passes are available in the office and must be turned in by Friday November 30th.

Quality Driver Training will be offering a driver education  Segment Two class December 4th – December 6th  from 4 to 6 p.m. and you must have had your level one license since on or before September 4th to enroll in this class.  Must have at least 6 students for this class to run.  Call 263-9292 to register.
